Celebration time… And free lesson alert!

Being Aydan’s mom (one of the 8 featured in the movie Spellers), it may seem a natural transition for me to take on becoming an S2C practitioner. When the proposition was posed to me by our practitioner, I liked the idea, but I would soon learn this isn’t a process to be taken lightly. Though I often groaned at the frequent assignments wishing I was done already, I took comfort knowing that this process is such a serious matter.

There’s a strict protocol based on neuroscience, sure but this isn’t a one and done. You must hit the refresh button on a constant basis to make sure each unique profile is given the consideration it deserves. Fortunately, there’s nothing quite like it. It’s rewarding beyond belief!

Anyway, after 3 years of working with my son, 5 months of parent cohort training, and 6 1/2 months of intensive practitioner training, I have finally graduated from the course. Hallelujah!

What started with a kick-off weekend in January ended with a 5-day internship at a bay area clinic working with a wide-array of amazing spellers, 12 interns, 2 teachers and 2 gracious practitioner hosts. Last I heard the final count was 74 sessions in 5 days!

To celebrate this successful endeavor, I wrote a lesson… Because lessons are my fav!

Inspired by my week in beautiful San Francisco, crossing the bridge each day, I chose to do this lesson on bay area rockers, Green Day as part of my Rock of the ‘90’s series.

If you have any requests for the next lesson, be sure to take the poll or leave it, in the comments.

“Why rock of the ‘90s”, you may ask? I’ll leave that for another post. In the meantime, you may find the answers in my book, The Michael Chronicles, Book 1.
